5 Best Supported Teams in England

English football has continually displayed just how popular it is, with the prominence of the Premier League displaying just how well supported the teams in England are.
With this in mind, we have compiled a list of the best supported teams in England, with these comprised completely of the biggest sides in the Premier League.
5) Manchester City
Manchester City are the newest of the names on this list in the sense that they had not won a single Premier League title before the 2011/12 season before then going onto win five of the last 10 available titles since 2012. Pep Guardiola’s side are a supreme example of how money can be used to build the foundation of a team before it can then transform a group of players into a fantastic outfit that plays some truly sublime football. Despite vying for the Premier League title and for a long-awaited Champions League crown this year, City do still lag behind their Premier League rivals as far as their popularity goes.
4) Arsenal
Arsenal are a side that have really struggled to make inroads in what has become an incredibly congested upper-half of the table in the modern Premier League. The Gunners boast three Premier League titles in their time, but they have not lifted the trophy since the 2003/04 season, where the Invincibles were able to brush everything in front of them aside, winning 26 games, drawing 12 and avoiding defeat across the league season. Since then, their struggle has been compounded by the success of the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool and, despite being one of the best supported clubs in England, they do not look like they will be returning to the pinnacle of the league any time soon.
3) Chelsea
Roman Abramovich came into the Premier League and turned Chelsea from just another team into one of the most successful sides in the Premier League. Their excellent performance across the 2020/21 Champions League season saw them defeat Manchester City in the final and they have since gone onto win the Club World Cup to ensure that Abramovich has now won every single piece of silverware on offer to the Blues.
Chelsea have boasted legends like John Terry, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Petr Cech and Ashley Cole, with these some of the most talented players to ever play in the Premier League. These players along with the continued success of the side and their global appeal means they sit above the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in our list, but they still fall someway behind our top two.
2) Liverpool
Liverpool had been a dormant giant for some time in the league and in Europe before exploding into life in the 2019/20 season as they beat out competition from every other side to lift the Premier League trophy for the first time in their history. The 2018/19 season saw the Reds clinch the Champions League trophy for the first time since 2005 as they flexed their attacking muscles in a tournament in which they were supreme. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been restoring the pride that had been waning in a trophy winning sense. Despite being hugely well-supported though, Liverpool are not the best supported team in England, with the Reds once again losing out to their major rivals.
Manchester United
The most successful side in Premier League history and a friend to punters backing them for the title using the Coral promotion code. Manchester United have picked up the biggest honour in England a record 13 times and are eight ahead of Chelsea and Manchester City with five in second with regard to Premier League crowns. Sir Alex Ferguson built upon the reputation of the side and helped to turn them into a global powerhouse of epic proportions that spread around the world. The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Paul Pogba have helped to elevate the Red Devils to new levels across different times, and the fans have lapped this up, with some truly exceptional players turning out for the side.
The reach of United is such that you would be hard put to find a person on the planet that has not heard of them.
